Since beginning his UFC career in 2013, Andre “Touchy” Fili has made a name for himself by being one of the most exciting Featherweights on the roster. Having a lot of Charisma as well as a fan-friendly style of competing got fans’ attention from early on in his career. Fili tells UFC Ultimate Sound that music is very meaningful to him. Not just to fuel his motivation for his career as a UFC Athlete, but to express himself as an artist as well.
From his early days as a teen going to hardcore shows, punk music has had a strong influence on Fili. He is currently a lead vocalist in his band “Born Breach” and cites playing shows with his band as his second favorite thing after being victorious in the Octagon. Being compared to performing and winning on the biggest stage on the planet for MMA is high praise. Filis’s passion for music is evident.
Music doesn’t just serve him as fuel for his daily regimen or as a creative outlet, but it has served to help him out when he was going through difficult times in his life. In his early adulthood, the band Title Fight helped him through his years of being broke, going through changes, and chasing his dreams. Filis mixes have played an important role in every facet of his life.
When he was climbing up the ranks, music played a part in envisioning his future success. He walks out to “Feeling myself” by Mac Dre because as a 15-year-old, he promised his best friends that when he made it to the UFC, he would always walk out to that song. A promise that’s been kept all these years later.
Now you can introduce the playlists that have allowed Fili to elevate himself in the Octagon to your life, enabling you to bring your game to the next level.
